The area's excellent medical facilities include: Pardee Hospital (10 minutes) Pardee is a not-for profit community hospital founded in 1953. Pardee Hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. In addition to the hospital, Pardee has a 130-bed nursing facility, an adult day care center, home health services, a health education center, a rehab and sports therapy complex, a women’s health center, two urgent care facilities and several family and internal medicine practices. Pardee is noted for its outreach in the community through our wellness and prevention services, as well as high-tech diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Pardee is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Park Ridge Hospital (20 minutes) Park Ridge Hospital has been providing state-of-the-art medical care to the community since 1910. Nestled at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina, Park Ridge Hospital is a place where you will find advanced technology seamlessly woven with a warm, compassionate setting. Park Ridge Hospital is fully accredited with JCAHO as well as the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Mission Hospitals (35 minutes) Mission Hospitals, formerly known as Mission St. Joseph's Health System, is located in Asheville, NC. Mission Hospitals was formed in 1999 through the merger of Memorial Mission Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital, both located in Asheville. Today the hospital, licensed for 800 beds, houses two campuses, respectively called the Memorial campus and the St. Joseph campus. It is also the referral center for Western North Carolina. Mission Orthopedists was named one of the best hospitals for Orthopedics by the U.S. News & World Report in July 2006. |
